He came into my life when he was just six weeks old, a gift from a high school friend, a tiny pit bull puppy the color of a loaf of bread. I gave my then two year old brother the very important job of naming him, and he came up with two possibilities.
While "Neighborhoody" does have a certain ring to it, we went with option number two and the little pup became Naverin. He didn't stay small for long. His bark was big, he was big all around ( tipping the scales at over 100 pounds at his largest), and his looks and protectiveness made him a very good guard dog. He also had a very big heart. I took him everywhere with me. We liked to drive in the truck and camp in the truck. He loved to just sit with me in the park for hours, watching kids play. When I took college classes in the evening out in Detroit, he'd wait in my truck for me, discouraging people from approaching the truck late at night and making it easier for me to take night classes because I never felt alone. Very sadly, Naverin died at 10 years old. He was my best friend and I will always miss him. - Sunny
Zoey 2004- 2013
We got sweet little Zoey when she was 5 years old. She was a dog used for breeding. She was a great cuddle buddy. She loved to sit on my lap any chance she got. She was great with my cats and knew they were in charge of the house.
She loved going on walks but not too long or she would lay down and I would have to carry her back home. Whenever I felt sad I knew I could count on her to listen and be there for me. She was great amusement for our family. She would always protect me from people and she had no fear to bark at people. My son enjoyed sharing the couch with her, she didn't always want too though. I still can't believe she is gone. She was one tough little girl. Rest in Peace my sweet Zoey, I will never forget you. - Tami
